Secure Caravan Storage Northwest Ltd

These Terms & Conditions apply to all customers using Secure Caravan Storage Northwest Ltd facilities. By entering into a storage agreement, customers agree to the following conditions.
Vehicle Security & Insurance
All stored vehicles must remain secured in accordance with the conditions of the vehicle owner’s own insurance policy.
All vehicles stored on site must be insured for the full duration of the storage period. The proprietor reserves the right to inspect insurance documentation if required.
Customers are responsible for ensuring:

Vehicles remain locked at all times

Valuables and personal belongings are removed from vehicles

Windows and doors remain secured whilst in storage
Site Access
24-hour access is currently available across all sites unless otherwise stated at the discretion of the proprietor.
Customers are advised to ensure gates are properly secured when entering and leaving the site and to lock themselves in where applicable.
Vehicle Storage Conditions
Vehicles must:

Be parked correctly within their allocated bay

Remain tidy and well maintained

Not leave litter or waste within the plot area
Vehicles must not:
-
Be inhabited during the storage period
-
Be advertised or offered for sale whilst on site

Be used for trading purposes from the site
Gas Bottles & Hazardous Materials
Where possible, gas bottles should be removed from stored vehicles.
No dangerous, hazardous, explosive or noxious goods are permitted on site.
Repairs & Maintenance
Major repairs are not permitted on site.
Minor repairs may only be carried out with prior permission from the proprietor. Following any approved work, all tools and equipment must be removed from site.
Electric Hook-Up & Trickle Charging
Selected plots offer electric hook-up facilities for battery trickle charging purposes only.
Electric hook-up points must not be used for:

Heating vehicles
-
Powering appliances
-
Continuous electrical usage beyond intended trickle charging
Security & Liability
Secure Caravan Storage Northwest Ltd operates recognised vermin control procedures which are monitored regularly. However, the proprietor excludes liability for damage or loss caused by vermin infestation.
The proprietor will take all reasonable steps to maintain site security and professionally managed facilities but excludes liability for loss or damage caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control or where due diligence has been exercised appropriately.
Fees & Payments
Storage fees are payable in advance in accordance with the agreed contract terms.
Rent is due on the 1st of each month where monthly payment arrangements are in place and continues until the end of the agreed contract term.
The proprietor reserves the right to amend storage fees by giving reasonable notice.
Refunds are not normally provided except in exceptional circumstances.
Key deposits (where applicable) will be refunded upon return of the key.
Overdue Accounts & Legal Lien
In the event of overdue storage fees, a legal lien may be applied to the stored vehicle until all outstanding balances are settled.
Where arrears remain unpaid, legal action may be taken under the Torts (Interference with Goods) Act 1977, including the right to sell the vehicle to recover outstanding fees and associated costs.
Any remaining balance following settlement of costs will be retained for collection by the customer.
Ownership & Legal Title
By entering into a storage agreement, the customer confirms they are the legal owner or authorised keeper of the stored vehicle or goods.
Changes to Customer Information
Customers must notify Secure Caravan Storage Northwest Ltd promptly of any changes to:
- Contact details
- Insurance information
- Vehicle ownership
- Registration details
Notice Periods & Plot Changes
A minimum of one month’s written notice is required prior to the end of the agreed storage term.
Should a customer wish to transfer to another plot or site location, an administration fee of £50 per move will apply.
